Close to three National parks, it’s a city with a vibrant cultural life and the main commercial pole of north-eastern Quebec. For 20 years, the annual REGARD – Saguenay International Short Film Festival gathers filmmakers from all around the world. Internationally renowned, it brings Saguenay in the major leagues of the short film industry.
Saguenay, a Fjord
Saguenay, a fjord, the only populated one in North America. With its matchless landscapes, the Saguenay Fjord has been classified a world-class attraction by the National Geographic. It stretches on 126 km, which ranks it as one of the 10 longest fjords of the world. Some of Quebec’s most beautiful villages nest along its shore, between rock walls up to 350 meters high.
